TV debut at age 5 as
"The Littlest Ballerina." I grew up and I kept
dancing. I grew up some more, got my engineering degree and went into computers. Who
knows what's next... Ballet dancers don't make a lot of money, even if they are lucky enough to dance with the best companies. So, it isn't surprising that they often take up other occupations like acting, modeling, fashion design, and commercial art to help pay the bills. I did. |
|
| But then, if there is a set of professions that are almost as
hard-to-succeed-at as Ballet, They have to be acting, modeling, fashion design and
commercial art. Eventually, I decided to go after something easier with better hours, better pay, and a longer life expectancy so, I entered engineering school. |

|
| I worked my way through Engineering school by dancing and coaching elite skaters and gymnasts. I met my first computer in my sophomore year and I was hooked. By the time I graduated in 1985 as a Structural Engineer, I was making almost as much money writing CAD applications as I was coaching. | ||

In 1987, Prodigy Services
Company recruited me to become the chief integrator on their first online application:
Shopping. I have been actively involved in bringing business applications on line
ever since. My specialty is human factors in software design and testing. I have been speaking, teaching, and publishing internationally since 1986. As a speaker and teacher I am known for my humor and engaging interactive style. Besides appearing at several conferences each year, I regularly teach for companies like Microsoft, British Telecom, GTE, Philips Communications Systems, and Ericsson. |
|
| As an author, I have published articles on Systems Integrity Real Time Systems Failures, Software Management in On Line Systems, Security, and Testing with such institutions as The National Institute of Standards and Technology, The IEEE, The Department of the Airforce, and The British Computer Society. I have also written articles on Risk Based Testing Methodology and Test Automation for Software Engineering Strategies (Auerbach Publications) and on Project Management, and Formal and Informal Methods for Systems Development Management (Warren Gorham Lamont). | ||

I think that there is nothing as rewarding as being part of a team. Team work is about always being in your place - doing your job. Here is a picture of me and two members of my favorite team qualifying for the 2000 USET World Championship Team. In 1999 we qualified to become members of the United States Equestrian Team (USET). We are honored and thrilled to represent our country in international competitions! |
